THE BEAUTY SERVICE BOOK / BAI

Read a beauty portfolio with context

Give the image an author, a contribution and a service context before it becomes a reason to choose.

READ THE WORK.
KEEP THE CONTEXT.
ASK DIRECTLY.

01

The starting point

Ask which work belongs to the professional, what their role was and which service it illustrates. A photograph can support a conversation without establishing every technique, qualification or client experience.

02

What needs confirmation

Confirm the actual service scope, location, availability and consultation arrangements directly. No approved listings are published in this frontend, and illustrative photos are not presented as verified directory members.

03

Keep each contribution visible

A portfolio image can involve more than one creative contribution. Name the professional’s actual role and ask how the photographer, stylist and other collaborators are credited. This is especially useful when an image is shared across several accounts. A clear credit should help you understand the work you are looking at, rather than quietly suggesting that one contributor was responsible for everything in the frame.

04

Read the service beside the picture

Notice whether the accompanying description names a service, an editorial project, a personal practice image or a reference. These contexts have different purposes. Ask the professional which actual service they can discuss with you and how its arrangements are confirmed. A visual resemblance does not by itself establish qualifications, a complete method, the client’s experience or the outcome of a future appointment.

05

Use a reference to open a question

Keep the original public source and say what interests you about it. It may communicate an overall direction, a detail or a setting. It does not need to function as a demand for an exact copy. A useful question gives the responsible professional room to explain their own work, their service boundaries and the consultation needed in the real setting.

06

Return to the responsible person

The directory can organise discovery and help prepare an enquiry. It does not take over the provider’s decisions or agreements. Confirm the current location, responsible professional, scope, timing and terms directly before committing. Keep unanswered points visible rather than replacing them with assumptions. No illustrative photograph in this publication is offered as a verified member profile or a promise of service availability.
